I myself spent my very first night on Mallorca in 2002 in the Cura monastery near Randa . After a strenuous day of cycling, we struggled up the mountain with our last bit of strength. In between I wanted to give up again and again, but we had reservations, so we had to arrive too. I can remember back then that it was no longer possible to get something to eat because we arrived very late. A monk brother was so nice and prepared a small dinner for us.

The next morning up on the Klosterberg was simply brilliant and definitely an unforgettable experience. I have very fond memories of the night - letting my gaze wander over the landscape with the thought that it will soon be going down the mountain by bike instead of up 🙂

The monastery is located in the center of Mallorca a little north of the small town of Llucmajor . A road branches off from the cute little village of Randa and leads up to the monastery mountain.
