The situation of increased violence is such that even after the effort of the National Public Security System has been made, actions against the law continue to predominate, therefore the need to propose and develop new strategies such as the hiring of Private Security companies is urgent.

Studies by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) and the Citizen Institute for Studies on Insecurity (ICES) reveal that in 2010 65% of the national population felt insecure due to violence (1). In 2020, the same research confirms that the negative perception in the population now amounts to 73% (2).

The action of Private Security.

Statistics reported by national organizations such as the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SNSP) indicate the progressive increase from year to year of murders in which the criminal intentionally seeks to kill the victim, that is, intentional homicides.

The situation is so serious that 2019 with 34,582 murders is now the year with the highest number in the last 20 years. An increase of 2.5% compared to 2018 considered at the time, the most violent year (3).

Undoubtedly, these data reveal the need to reinforce protection actions and, among them, have teams of individuals trained and experienced in various areas of Public Security, particularly in Intelligence. This can be achieved with the incorporation of the knowledge and experience of the Private Security companies in Mexico.

But, the increase in the number of homicides in Mexico is not just the product of actions generated by drug trafficking, which was what fueled violence in the past. According to the authorities, there are states where the theft of fuel was the main cause of murder, or entry into the private property was the most common crime.

It is essential to have the support of all organized groups with training in security, including, of course, Private Security companies and to advance towards adequate protection for citizens, families, and their assets.

Private Security in Mexico has specialized groups, companies duly constituted and empowered by the law, with a professional staff, experience and ability to deal with risky and tough tasks that are assumed in its commitment to ensuring safety and security.
